>>> ABOUT RUN FOR THE FALLEN
IT'S A MEMORY OF BRAVERY AND SELF-SACRIFICE, AND THE LOVE THAT LAYS DOWN ITS LIFE FOR A FRIEND - EVEN A FRIEND WHOSE NAME IT NEVER KNEW. - GEORGE W. BUSH
On Tuesday, September 11th, 2001, 343 members of the Fire Department of New York, 37 members of the Port Authority Police Department and 23 members of the New York City Police Department gave their lives saving others in the terrorist attacks at the World Trade Center.
As everyone else was running out, New York's first responders were running in, saving countless lives, while many, sacrificed their own. As we approach the 21st anniversary of the worst attack on American soil, we honor and remember those who answered the call on that fateful day.
Members of the public, fire service, and law enforcement communities are invited to join the Kronenwetter Fire Department on September 10, 2022 to engage in a healthy, supportive outlet to remember the fallen and show their appreciation to those who continue to serve our communities today.
When you register for a Run for the Fallen event, 75% of your registration fee supports the programs of the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation, whose services provide aid to the families and coworkers of fallen fire personnel throughout the country.
